Literary mania is a year-round preoccupation in Sidney, a seaside town of 11,000 people, who live about 30 kilometres from British Columbia’s capital Victoria. Wherever you are, there’s a store on the next block. There’s one next door. There’s another a few doors down. And there’s one around the corner. There’s even one underground.
