In “The Fragile Mistress,” it’s the summer of 1963 on the Israeli-Jordanian border. A fourteen-year-old American girl is believed to be to be dead, killed by a sniper. The Fragile Mistress is a unpublished excerpt from the novel, Edges, by Leora Skolkin-Smith. The novel, originally published by Grace Paley in 2005, has since been re-titled and expanded for the feature film, The Fragile Mistress, currently in pre-production with Triboro Pictures.
