Publisher’s description: Solstice Literary Magazine: A Magazine of Diverse Voices is an award-winning, nonprofit literary magazine dedicated to publishing bold, engaging, and inclusive contemporary literature and visual art. Founded in 2009, Solstice has built a strong reputation in the literary community for championing diverse voices and showcasing work that reflects the complexity of the modern world.
Each issue features thoughtfully curated fiction, poetry, Poetry in translation, nonfiction, reviews, interviews, graphic literature (comics and graphic narrative), audio/video lit, and photography, blending established authors with emerging talent. Solstice’s editorial focus embraces both traditional and experimental forms, welcoming writing that is emotionally resonant, socially aware, and artistically ambitious. The magazine is especially known for amplifying voices from historically underrepresented communities while fostering meaningful dialogue across cultures, identities, and perspectives.
Rooted in a belief that literature can connect, challenge, and transform, Solstice seeks work that explores renewal, justice, memory, and human connection without prescribing a single aesthetic or worldview.
As a respected literary journal, Solstice also plays an active role in the broader literary community through outreach, education, and special initiatives that support writers and readers alike. For those looking to discover dynamic contemporary writing, innovative storytelling, and visually striking art, Solstice Literary Magazine offers a rich and rewarding reading experience within today’s evolving landscape of literary magazines.
