The most recent issue of The Malahat Review includes the winner of the Far Horizons Award for Short Fiction, Kerry-Lee Powell for “Palace of the Brine.” The award “celebrates the achievement of emerging writers who have yet to publish their fiction in book form.” It was chosen by Alissa York from among 295 submissions.
