Publisher's description: Cool Beans Lit, founded in 2023 in Los Angeles, CA, is a nonprofit that exists solely to promote the work of writers and artists and boost the serotonin. The magazine publishes quarterly issues online for free and offers complimentary print issues to all of its contributors. Occasionally, there are themed issues, but please submit your best work no matter the fit or theme.

Many fiction genres are accepted (e.g., literary, flash, magical realism, science fiction and more) as well as a variety of nonfiction (e.g. memoir, personal essay, lyric essay, literary journalism and travel essays) and poetry forms (e.g., haiku, free and rhymed verse, sonnets and experimental). The editors enjoy writing that humbles readers with its joy, humor, musings, hope, regret, reckoning, a sudden epiphany or learned observation. They aim to stoke readers’ senses with your words and images. With regard to art, the magazine publishes both traditional and non-traditional forms of visual storytelling, including drawings, paintings, collages, photographs, narrative illustrations, comics and mixed media narratives.

The Editors' experience includes being a current editor of a renowned global literary publication that reviews submissions from students in 70 different countries and all 50 U.S. states, as well as an MBA from UCLA with additional Certificates in both Creative Writing and Editing & Publishing (UCLA).
