Inspiration Prompt: Oh, My Anxiety!
Anxiety can feel like an unwelcome shadow—creeping in, taking hold, and becoming a constant companion. Sometimes, we even ignore it—until Anxiety refuses to stay a background character and demands the spotlight.
For this prompt, explore anxiety as more than a feeling. What if Anxiety were a person? How would it speak, act, or influence the world around it? Would it be a trickster, a tyrant, a misunderstood friend?
Express this idea in any form: poetry, fiction, nonfiction, script, collage, visual art, or mixed media. Give Anxiety a face, a voice, or even a whole world.
Prefer calm over chaos? Try this instead:
Slow down, take a breath, and think about those quiet, peaceful moments. Life often moves fast, but even in the rush, there are small pauses—moments that feel still, tender, or even strange.
Think of a time when silence spoke louder than words, or when an ordinary detail suddenly felt extraordinary. Create something inspired by that quiet moment: a poem, short story, essay, collage, visual art, or mixed media piece. Let the stillness guide your imagination—does it comfort, unsettle, or transform?
And once you are done crafting your pieces, keep going to find them a home.
