Publisher’s Description: Porcupine Literary Arts Magazine is a highly regarded journal dedicated to the publication of quality poetry, short fiction, essays, and visual artwork. In addition to featuring the work of emerging and well-known writers, each issue profiles artists or writers of national and international prominence through color portfolios and interviews.
Founded in 1996 by a group of artists and writers, Porcupine has been critically acclaimed since its inception. In its third year Porcupine was recognized by Milwaukee Magazine as ‘Best New Literary/Arts Magazine.’ Wisconsin Public Radio's WUWM (89.7FM) At 10 radio program featured an in-depth interview which aired locally and nationally. Past issues have included poetry by Antler, James Grabill, and S. M. Page, essays and short fiction by Ward Kelley and Richard Thieme, and artwork by Terese Agnew and Dale Chihuly. The magazine is supported, in part, by a grant from the Wisconsin Arts Board and by the Kohler Foundation.
