ENDA’S BOOKtique is an independent bookstore founded by E. Jean, an African American educator and chaplain. ENDA’S BOOKtique is part of E. Jean’s mission to connect women and families in her community to equitable and quality educational and literary programs and resources. The mission is accomplished through the bookstore’s collection of curated books which are written by women, about women, and for women. Enda’s BOOKtique hosts community readings; book signings; special events; literacy, reading, and tutoring programs; and GED prep programs. Enda’s BOOKtique celebrates and supports independent authors, independent literacy and STEM projects from African American women, women of color, and women of race with diverse cultures and heritage.
