Publisher’s Description: Tiferet: A Journal of Spiritual Literature is a multi-faith magazine dedicated to celebrating and revealing Spirit, in all its manifestations, through the written word.

Tiferet Journal publishes poetry, fiction, essays, interviews, translations, reviews, and commentary from authors of various faiths and cultures -- from bright new voices as well as established ones like Ray Bradbury, Robert Bly, Alicia Ostriker, Mary Hays, and more.

Though our outlook is ecumenical, the journal takes its name from an aspect of the Tree of Life as described in kabbalah, or Jewish mysticism, where Tiferet represents the reconciliation of conflicting inclinations – a balancing of heaven and earth, good and evil... opposing forces that don’t usually reconcile. Corresponding to the heart, Tiferet reveals itself as truth, harmony, beauty, and focused compassion. It is a stable center within the Tree of Life, a place where the physical and spiritual realms meet and from where true creativity can arise.

As the Indian writer Tukaram said, "A good poem is like finding a hole in the palace wall - never know what you might see."
