Publisher’s description: Housed at the University of Cincinnati, The Cincinnati Review strives to knock your socks off twice a year with our print journal. We provide a venue for writers of any background, at any point in their literary careers, to showcase their best writing, and we pay them for their contributions. Recent issues include work from Steve Almond, Beth Ann Fennelly, Claudia Keelan, Alex Lemon, Erin McGraw, Marilyn Nelson, Carl Phillips, and Safiya Sinclair.
Poems and prose from our pages have been selected for top anthologies, including Best American Essays, Best American Poetry, Best American Short Stories, New Stories from the Midwest, The O. Henry Prizes, and The Pushcart Prize anthology.
Each issue also includes a portfolio of full-color artwork from a national or local artist, as well as reviews and translations. In the past few years, we’ve published a commissioned graphic play and art/song compositions, and started a YouTube video series. We’ll debut a newly designed website with a weekly online feature in fall 2017.
During the summer, we consider submissions for our Robert and Adele Schiff Awards in Poetry and Prose, with a July 15 deadline. See more details on our website.
