    The annual Autumn House Press Contests award publication of full-length manuscripts in Poetry, Fiction, and Nonfiction. Each winner also receives $2,500 ($1,000 advance against royalties and a $1,500 travel/publicity grant to promote the book). The submission period opens January 1 and closes June 30 (Eastern Time).     The Fiddlehead’s annual contest is changing and adding a new category, creative nonfiction! Now in its 29th year The Fiddlehead’s contest has been split into three separate contests. First up – the Creative Nonfiction contest, which is open from March 1st to June 1st. Winner receives CAD $2000 + publication payment. Entry fees: First entry (includes a subscription to The Fiddlehead): CAD $30 in Canada; USD $36 outside of Canada. Additional entries $10. Complete guidelines at thefiddlehead.ca/contest.
