Inception: $500 for Fiction, Nonfiction, Poetry, Graphic Novel, or Art

Beginnings have a particular power. For Sunspot Lit’s current Inception contest, send your best fiction, nonfiction, poetry, graphic novel, comic, or art opening. No restrictions on theme or category. Word limit is 250 for prose, 25 words for poetry. Graphic novel or comic entries should be the first page. Art entries should be the first in a series, gallery lineup, etc. Feedback is available for fiction, nonfiction, and graphic novels for an additional optional fee. Close: July 31, 2023. Entry fee: $10. Prize: $500 cash plus publication for the winner. Enter as many times as you like through Submittable.
