Program description: Located five miles from downtown Boston, the Solstice MFA Program helps its diverse student body reach their full potential as writers in a learning environment that fosters community and celebrates the individual. We offer concentrations in fiction, creative nonfiction, poetry, comics & graphic narratives, and writing for children & young adults. We encourage cross-genre study and offer an applied track in pedagogy for those who hope to teach at the college level. Working with some of the best writers in the country, our students emerge with a strategy for continuing the development of their creative vision and a supportive circle of peers and mentors. Our graduates have published award-winning books, been featured in important literary journals, and are being hired for successful writing-related careers.
