is the bio note Grant wrote:
Grant Burns is a librarian at the University of Michigan-Flint. He
entered the book world in 1971 as an assistant in a bookbindery. He did
a lengthy editorial gig with the original New Pages, and lived over 20
years in Flint, Mich. He now lives in East Lansing with his wife,
Stephanie, and their cats, Dave, Wally, Jr., and Rufus. Among his books
is Librarians in Fiction (McFarland, 1998). McFarland also published in
the fall of 2005 his annotated bibliography, The Railroad in American
