Publisher’s description: Paul Revere’s Horse is a print journal that publishes exploratory prose and poetic texts along with critical interrogations and commentary. Among the work presented in the Fall/Winter 2009 issue is the second installment of Transformer, a prose serial by Miranda Mellis; poetic texts by Amanda Leigh Lichtenstein; and exciting new prose work from Graham Guest, Laura Schadler, Elmo Lum, and Amanda Davidson. Additionally, the current issue of Paul Revere’s Horse introduces Lost Poets Review, a feature devoted to the reclamation of an important writer from the past who was either known during his or her lifetime and then forgotten, or perhaps never known, but who deserves contemporary attention. For this issue Canadian poet Lisa Robertson has chosen to consider John Clare, the British poet who wrote during the first half of the 19th century. Also presented are Carlos Lara’s magnificent translations of three important Peruvian writers: Jorge Eduardo Eielson, Sebastián Salazar Bondy, and Pablo Guevara. There is also an interview with experimental novelist Eric E. Olson, author of The Procession of Mollusks, who discusses his new book and also offers his thoughts on realist versus non-realist representation in narrative.
