Publisher’s Description: With over 4600 pages in print, this award-winning quarterly publication is an encyclopedia of Louisiana art, history and culture that reaches almost 50,000 people a year, including business and community leaders, state and national officials, university students and faculty, and the reading public. Louisiana Cultural Vistas is the only statewide magazine that presents Louisiana culture, art and history in an exciting, visual, and substantive way.
LCV targets both in-state educational and cultural communities, out-of state audiences in the travel, convention and cultural communities, and editorial writers. LCV features the works of Louisiana artists, writers, historians, and poets, such as Francis Pavy, Sarah Albritton, John Barry, and Ernest Gaines. Each issue includes a calendar of museum exhibits throughout the state along with an extensive media catalog. Since 1993, Louisiana Cultural Vistas has won over 75 awards from the New Orleans Press Club, including Best Publication in five of the last nine years. In 2005, Louisiana Cultural Vistas received eight commendations from the Press Club, including four awards in the photo story category and was once again voted Best Publication.
