Publisher’s description: Fifth Wednesday Journal is an independent biannual literary publication founded in 2007 with a goal of matching very good readers with very good writers. Our inaugural issue featured work by writers such as Kim Addonizio, Kevin Stein, Cris Mazza, and J. C. Hallman. The Spring 2008 issue features writing from Allison Joseph, Marge Piercy, Glen Pourciau, Alberto Rios, and Arthur Saltzman.
We seek to bring together discriminating readers and the best poets, storytellers, and essayists we can find. We are committed to writing which is entertaining, intellectually stimulating, and emotionally meaningful. Each issue of FWJ introduces new guest editors of fiction and poetry. We believe this encourages a wide range of writers to trust us with their work and enables FWJ to publish a balanced array of traditional and contemporary literature by established writers and new voices. In short, we publish work that we enjoy and can enthusiastically recommend to our readers.
We publish black-and-white photography which complements the writing and enhances the reader’s enjoyment of our journal.
