Publisher's Description: Etude, an online journal since 2002, publishes new and emerging voices in literary nonfiction (text as well as multi-media) as well as author interviews, book reviews and columns on the art and craft of writing. The magazine’s focus is on thoroughly and thoughtfully researched stories presented with narrative flair. Etude publishes four substantial pieces of immersion reportage/ narrative journalism every issue plus, one audio feature, one multi-media feature and one personal essay. Etude does not publish memoir. The magazine, published at the University of Oregon School of Journalism and Communication, celebrates evocative storytelling, fresh perspectives and intelligent voices.
