Publisher's Description: Blood Lotus is an online literary journal in its fourth year. The BL editors are passionate writers and fierce critics who know exactly what we want to read: well-crafted writing that makes masterful use of fresh, evocative, visceral language and imagery. Our contributors and reviewers have thanked us for publishing writing that is "intense" and "doesn't play it safe." Our goal: to utilize the internet to bring as wide an audience as possible to the best writing by (mostly) emerging and (some) established writers. We are a writer-friendly publication; we strive for fast response times, and we've created an extensive links section where we promote the writing lives of our contributors (their academic/independent affiliations, other publications, where to buy their books, personal websites, etc.).
