Publisher’s description: Memoir (and) is a nonprofit literary journal dedicated to memoir in all forms, from the traditional to the experimental. The editors strive with each issue to include a selection of prose, poetry, narrative photography and graphic memoirs. They particularly invite submissions that push traditional boundaries of form and content in their exploration of the representation of self; they also just love a memoir well-told.
Four prizes are awarded with each issue: the Memoir (and) Biannual Prize for Memoir in Poetry or Prose (Grand Prize: $500; Second Prize: $250; Third Prize: $100) and the Memoir (and) Biannual Prize for Graphic Memoir (Grand Prize: $100).
