Publisher's description: Started in January, 2015 by Editor Mo Duffy Cobb, Cargo Literary is an online magazine of well-crafted essays that are rooted in culture and in locality. When Cargo Lit was born, Duffy Cobb was thrilled to bring Mary-Kim Arnold (The Rumpus) on board as Poetry Editor, Melissa Matthewson as Nonfiction Editor, and BJ MacCarville as Visual Art Editor. The team composes a dynamic editorial tradition of seeking evocative portrayals of the experiences of living, working, and traveling abroad.
Recent contributors have been author Robert Vivian of Vermont College of Fine Arts, Peter Korchnak in creative nonfiction, Tina Cane in poetry, and Pete Madzelan in photography. In Issue 4, we are proud to present an interview with acclaimed Canadian author Karen Connelly, and we hope to present more interviews with authors and artists in the future.
Our overall aesthetic is not only compelling word work, but also beautiful imagery. We encourage writers to contribute their own photography to use as markers on our beautiful, custom built responsive website.
