Publisher’s description: For over fifty years the MFA Writing Program at UNC Greensboro has published The Greensboro Review. MFA students serve as poetry and fiction editors of the magazine. Works from the journal are consistently cited and anthologized in Pushcart Prize, New Stories from the South, Best American Short Stories, Prize Stories: The O. Henry Awards, and other annual collections honoring the finest writing by both established and emerging talent.

We pride ourselves on publishing the best being written, regardless of theme, subject, or style, and offer an annual $1000 Literary Award, with winning manuscripts appearing in the Spring issue.
