Serving the LGBT Community, their family and friends since 1991, Common Language Bookstore is one of the few remaining Feminist/LGBT Bookstores in the country. Our mission is to support Feminist and LGBT culture by providing readers with new and classic literature, and providing authors an outlet for their core.

The Friends of the Ann Arbor District Library Book Shop, located on the first floor of the Downtown Library, recycles over 200,000 books a year and earns approximately $100,000 a year for the AADL. We sell good quality donated books, CDs, DVDs, puzzles and more with most book prices ranging from 50¢ to $2.
