Program description: Come focus on craft, publishing, and pedagogy in the heart of the Natural State literary scene. Be a part of a small, boutique program where you are a name, not a number and your development as a writer and your career after you leave our program are our primary concern.
Two publishing assistantships, one at the award-winning Oxford American, are offered each year in this studio program that focuses solely on writing, publishing and teaching courses—we are not housed in an English but a Writing department. Scholarships and teaching opportunities are also available. Low cost of living and an emphasis on literary citizenship and career and craft development all come into play in the Arkansas Writer's MFA Workshop.
